I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the mountains that participated in this years awards program. The nominations this year were outstanding and I was really pleased to see so many of the mountains that don't normally submit awards get involved this year. I would really like to recognize the efforts of Mt. Baldy, Ski Sunrise and Mt. Waterman who despite the limited amount of snow and open patrol days did an excellent job of submitting awards this year.
    Please come out and support patrollers such as Luanne Pryor, Barbara Baxter, Diana St. Clair, Lynne Frick, Robert Niemeyer, Bob Ashcraft, Andrew Simon and Scott Hoffman.  You may also want to cheer on people such as Karen Wentworth, Doug Hill, Garry Larson, Keith Tatsukawa, Jim Otto, Mike Jennings, Forrest Worthy, Rick Williams, Walter Crawford, Randy Holmbeck, Mike St. Clair, Stanley Arai, Rex Mc Lean and Gil Estrada.
    If you would rather cheer for your favorite patrol, please come out and support them as they compete for the 3 different Outstanding Patrol of the Year Trophies. The battle this year was very close in all categories.
    Also, remember that the winners of each of the awards presented at the Region Banquet go on to compete against the winners of all the other Regions for the Division Awards. This year the Division Awards will be held in Arizona during the month of August. So if you win the Region Title, plan on attending the Division Summer Conference in beautiful Arizona!
